How many tiles do I need?
Start with your area in square metres, divide by the size of one tile, then add wastage for cuts and the odd breakage. A straight lay on a simple room needs about 10% extra. Diagonal layouts, lots of cuts, or patterns like herringbone need more, up to about 20%.
Always buy a little spare from the same batch. Tile colours can vary slightly between production runs, so a box put aside now saves a headache if you crack one later or need a repair down the track. As a guide, allow roughly 4 to 5 kg of adhesive per square metre for a standard bed.

How much tile adhesive do I need?
Roughly 4 to 5 kg per square metre for a standard bed. Large format tiles and uneven surfaces use more, so round up.
Why do tile colours vary between boxes?
Tiles are made in batches and the shade can shift slightly between runs. Buying all your tiles, plus spares, in one go from the same batch keeps the colour consistent.
