Most fencing is priced per metre supplied and installed. Colorbond and timber paling are the everyday choices and sit in a similar range, aluminium slat fencing costs more for the modern look, and brushwood lands in between with a natural finish.
The price assumes flat, accessible ground. Sloping blocks, rock, removing an old fence, or limited access for machinery will all add to the job. If the fence sits on a boundary, you usually share the cost with your neighbour, so it is worth a conversation before you book anyone.
